During a trip to speak about the Kural, one of my hosts asked a powerful question: What does the Kural have to say about mental health?
It’s something I’ve been thinking about ever since. Even though this classical Tamil masterpiece on ethics, power, and love was written more than 1,500 years ago, it too comes from a time of transition and change, when people wrestled as much as ever with what it means to live a meaningful life in one’s community and community of communities.
And so I recently offered a free webinar about what I’ve learned personally about living with resilience, good humor, and balance from the wisdom of the Kural. It’s called Not Being Defeated by Adversity and was held via Zoom on Saturday, November 9, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Pacific.
Although the webinar has already taken place, you can still sign up for a recording. Click here to sign up.
